Summary

The SIO2 Cable Maker supports the production of SIO2 cable. The Cable Maker helps resolve issues and continually improves processes for SIO2 cable production with the support of the Sr. Engineering Technician. This position will train in the dayshift and will at a later time move to the 2nd shift. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the production of SIO2 cables
  • Effectively Operate the SIO2 Cable Extruder, and all associated equipment
  • Helps train, mentor and support SIO2 cable operators
  • Review and follow SIO2 Engineering drawings
  • Review and validate Work Instructions before build
  • Help validate new tooling and fixtures for SIO2 cable production
  • Help test completed SIO2 cables to ensure they meet customer and quality requirements
  • Diagnose and help resolve basic problems with the SIO2 equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining clean SiO2 equipment, and work area

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Drawings
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to effectively speak, read and understand English
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Welding experience, preferred
  • Prior RF testing experience, preferred
  • Ability to efficiently perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide), including working with fractions and decimals.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel preferred
