Summary

The Operations Technology Web Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving business systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Operations Technology group strives to improve the interface between technology and business operations. As a Web Developer within our Operations Technology Group, you will not only focus on developing and maintaining our web applications but also actively engage in improving operational processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving in real-time, and prefers hands-on engagement over traditional desk-bound tasks.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement web applications that support internal operations.
  • Assist in integration of different business systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process challenges and develop tech-driven solutions.
  • Work with business users to create and maintain reporting within SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) as well as other BI tools.
  • Provide technical support and training to non-technical staff, empowering them to utilize new systems and tools effectively.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures. 
  • Continuously learn about new technology to drive innovation within the company.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT related field, or consummate experience.
  • Proven experience in web development with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and server-side languages such as C#/.NET preferred.
  • Strong understanding of relation databases, MS SQL and/or Oracle SQL.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new software skills for a variety of projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information. 
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle preferred) and other software systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing environments.
