Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel and training in support of customers
  • Establish customer rapport and acceptance.
  • Present technology concepts to customers/partners in support of pre-sales activities.
  • Provides expertise and support to sales teams to communicate products, services, and client needs.
  • Prepare cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with engineers, purchasing, manufacturing, etc
  • Perform accurate requirements analysis; understand full depth of customer requirements and accurately recommend products and present strengths-weakness trade-offs
  • Make periodic customer visits to assess customer needs and provide key support to sales and other partners.
  • Work closely with customers' engineering teams to provide creative and innovative design solutions
  • Work with marketing, sales, and customers during the evaluation of products in order to resolve any technical issues and drive design-in/design-win activities.
  • Work with design engineers to create supporting documents such as product drawings, datasheets and application notes.
  • Drafts or assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers.
  • Generate accurate and complete design packages for consumption by the factory
  • Participate in the design review and release process.
  • Work with engineering team to define testing and evaluation where required.
  • Take responsibility for internal and external customer success from conception to shipping
  • Support the internal product development and manufacturing process as new products and technologies are integrated into portfolio
  • Work with the Quality department to address quality issues.
  • Propose and quantify product development projects.
  • Maintain active supplier relationships, attend exhibitions & conferences and undertake training sessions
  • Maintain catalog, datasheet, and website technical content. Write and/or assist in writing technical articles and papers.
  • Works with Product Manager and Marketing to design and develop new products.
  • Create presentations to demonstrate innovative designs, document performance, and communicate architecture ideas and capabilities.
  • Develop application notes, whitepapers, blog postings, videos, datasheets, catalogs, and other technical marketing documents
  • Polished interpersonal and communication skills, along with the technical acumen to guide customers towards solutions to their interconnect problems

  • A bachelor's degree in a science, technology or engineering discipline
  • Work experience in a technical role with customer interaction.
  • An understanding of transmission line and microwave engineering theory
  • Experience with RF products/applications. Knowledge of RF/Microwave components commonly used in RF subsystems including amplifiers, mixers, limiters, attenuators, filters, switches, couplers, VCOs, etc.
  • Experience in RF system development for frequencies up to 70 GHz
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude and fluency with basic physics principles e.g. temperature, pressure, corrosion, radiation etc.
