Summary

The Payroll Specialist is an experienced professional with responsibility for multiple activities related to Payroll, including necessary reporting, administration and unemployment claims.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process all aspects of weekly and semi-monthly payroll for 500+ employees, both salaried and hourly

  • Process changes to employees pay, including increases, bonuses, and 401K changes

  • Answer employee questions regarding pay, benefits, etc.

  • Respond to employment verifications, and unemployment claims in a timely manner

  • Maintain general office functions related to HR and Payroll

  • Completes and communicates Wage Executive documents

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee payroll files

  • Update and initiate business registration in other states, as necessary

  • Special projects and other duties as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred, with at least three years' experience working in Payroll/HR

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Team player

  • Ability to thrive in a high-stress fast-paced environment

  • Excellent organization, time management, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Dayforce experience preferred
