Summary
The Production Supervisor leads their team to ensure efficient production and expected performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervises direct reports and provides leadership to team/department

Trains, supports and monitors and direct reports to ensure expected job performance

Helps recruit and select team members
-
Is responsible for meeting and exceeding Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals
-
Helps lead Continuous Improvement projects and processes using LEAN tools and concepts
-
Evaluates performance of direct reports by writing and administering reviews in a timely manner
-
Provides coaching and development to team members
-
Provides production data and reports as required by Manager
-
Conducts daily stand- up meetings and provides support as needed
-
Evaluates labor requirements to recommend proper staffing levels
-
Monitors and recommends overtime requirements for the team/department

Helps resolve material issues by working with Purchasing and material management
-
Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager
Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years leadership experience
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing environment
-
Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferred
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to interact well and coach team members
-
Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
-
Experience with Lean manufacturing, strongly preferred
