Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Quality Engineer for a permanent position within our world class manufacturing team. Our customers span commercial aerospace, aeronautics, space, military, and electronics industries. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of quality in our manufacturing processes for assembling connectors, cable assemblies, inspection, and electrical testing. You will help coordinate a team of Quality Engineers across all sites for planning and performing First Article Inspections and creating FAIR packages. You will also be a lead to present product and documentation to customer inspection teams for smooth acceptance of product by our customers. Your expertise in quality engineering, coupled with your knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, will be crucial in understanding our customer's drawings, specifications, and associated standards applicable in the industry.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1. Implementing and maintaining the quality engineering requirements to ensure manufacturing processes are in accordance with AS9100 Standard.

2. Ensuring that Quality Control inspections for First Articles and lot manufacturing are conducted as required per laid down procedures and statistical sampling.

3. Coordinating with Production to anticipate and prevent potential issues in the manufacturing processes that could inhibit consistent quality of the product.

4. Reviewing technical product documentation including drawings, bills of materials, test protocols and reports, manufacturing instructions, engineering change orders (ECO), etc.

5. Providing technical guidance and training to the manufacturing team on quality standards and best practices.

6. Conducting First Article Inspection (FAI) to verify the manufacturing processes and ensure the product meets specified requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements: 1. A bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical). 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in the aerospace industry. 3. Proficiency in using DISCUS and Net-Inspect for FAI and FAIRs. 4. Proficiency in AS9100 and AS9102 (First Article Inspection and Reporting). 5. Experience in new product qualification and validation testing is a plus. 6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail. 7. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. 8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
