Compensation

We offer a total compensation package that includes a competitive base rate, starting at $19.85, overtime after 8 hours, overtime after 40 hours and on Saturdays, and double time! We offer consistent schedules, and guaranteed hours! Overtime is available!!!!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Wind from multiple reels to single reel as necessary for cabling or other operations
  • Visually checks all wire and cable during rewinding operations to detect rough finish areas, obvious diameter variations and other disqualifying elements
  • Take approved action to report, repair, remove faulty areas depending upon type and use requirements of wire or cable being rewound
  • Performs simple electrical test functions to check cables and other items for continuity and “dead” shorts
  • Run routine spark and similar tests following established practices and/or specific instructions
  • Performs minor cable repairs, trim braid, repair jackets and perform other routine repair operations as necessary
  • Check wall thickness, conductor and other diameters using micrometers and other measuring devices
  • Coat wires and cable as directed
