Summary

The Engineering Systems Tech assists the Engineering Systems Manager and Engineering Design teams with the implementation and development of a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System including the Times Engineering Database (T.E.D.) to compile all design pertinent engineering data for both current and legacy designs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Employ a continuous improvement mindset to an examination of the Master Engineering Process Flow
  • System Implementation Support
  • Tool Development (Engineering Calculators)
  • Improvement & Automation of Process Flows within the PLM structure
  • Identifying additional Automation opportunities
  • Data collection, transformation, verification, and loading
  • Work as part of the team and collaborate with co-workers and colleagues in a dynamic work environment
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and execution of a new Document Control Management system
  • Serve as a trainer and administrator for the Engineering PLM System
  • Assist with future development of process and document flow procedures
  • Explore AI Opportunities applicable to our Business

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Computer Science Engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Excel, and VBA
  • Familiarity with Database design and structure
  • Strong Working knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, Access, Visio, Teams, SharePoint etc.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks, preferred
  • Self-motivated, self-directing work ethic
  • Analytical ability
  • Extremely well-organized with superior attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, work in a high pace environment and meet deadlines
